C+D Artist – Metals: Colby Smith

Colby Smith, from Swansea, MA, has lived most of his life on the East Coast and is largely self-taught in making doorknockers since 1976. Each piece is sand cast in solid yellow or red brass, hand finished, assembled and lacquered for tarnish resistance. Colby has studied at various art institutes and now displays his work in select galleries and art shows across the country.  During the Craft + Design Show on Nov. 20-21, he will be located at Booth 8.
